ADVANCE shooting heads comes in 3 densities and 10 meters in length in 12, 14, 16, and 18 gram. The taper design is made for easily load and long stabile casts on distance - wind or no wind. This 10 meter special tapered design ensures you good presentation, stabile casts and very long distance on minimal effort. Combined with our perfect nylon shooting line, this setup is very efficient for covering lots of water and to be an effective sea trout fisher.

Float is the perfect choice for night fishing or fishing in low salinity. Our floating shooting heads has a neutral tip. These can be fished as a floating tip or a hover tip. It all depends on your leader and tippet. Fishing this with a fluorocarbon leader, you'll get a hover tip effect. With a nylon leader and tippet, this will work great as a floating line.
Float/S1.5 (Intermediate) is the perfect choice for getting your fly down quick, but not too deep. Our slow intermediate line has a sinking rate of 1.5 inch per second (3.75 cm/s) for 80% of the head - 20% butt section is floating. This means you'll be able to track your line further out on distance and at the same time be fishing your fly in the perfect depth of water. This line is very versatile and be used in many situations.
Float/S3 (Fast intermediate) is good choice for the ones who likes fast stripping or fishing rough weather with big waves. This shooting head dives through the waves and gives you the control and connection with your fly at all times when needed. Our intermediate line has a sinking rate of 3.0 inch per second (7.5 cm/s) for 80% of the head - 20% butt section is floating.

Wow :-) excellent shootinghead with a very nice tapered design....Really good, even in windy conditions....
I think the shooting head is pretty awesome, but that wasn't my first impression of it. In fact, a long time ago I bought a set of 3 but I couldn't get it to work without any problems and I ended up selling them again.
But with all the good reviews the shooting heads have got, I felt like giving it another chance. This time it seems to run quite well, in other words, give it time and give it an extra chance, you have to get to know it and then you will be so happy with it.

ULT #4 Shooting Head

Købte et #6 svarende til 14 gram ifølge vejledningen. Skulle jeg gøre det om, så ville jeg klart vælge et skydehoved på 16 gram til min TFO Axiom II X #6.

Vi har testet 14G på en Axiom II #6, og det er et godt match. Stangen kan også klare 16G, men det er ikke optimalt på en medium-fast aktion. Det kræver mere energi at holde linen højt og over vandet, hvilket kan påvirke kastets tracking negativt.
Et 10 meter hoved med vores tapering kræver, at man stopper lidt højere i bagkastet og lader linen folde sig ud, før man laver sit sidste fremkast. Skydehovedet føles markant anderledes at kaste med end de mere aggressive taperinger, som man fx ser hos skydehoveder fra SA og RIO. Uden at være helt sikker, tror jeg, at det er forskellen på taperingen, som du skal vænne dig til.

Jeg ville gerne have en klasse 5# stang til fjorden og valget faldt på en salinity SW #5 efter alle anbefalinger man har læst eller set.
Er absolut ikke blevet skuffet
Super velkastende og god rygrad.
Jeg købte også fuld lineopsætning med searun backing, razer flat mono 30lb skyde line og advance sh f/s 1.5 skydehovde i12g.
Jeg har altid brugt wf line fordi jeg aldrig kunne enes med skydeline, men det må man sige man kan her.
Linen ligger flot stærkt hver gang og man oplever nærmest aldrig kludder, så ikke sidste gang jeg har handlet her😊
